Deon Newman,
Vice President, Marketing and Communications,
System z IBM Systems & Technology Group.
Deon Newman is responsible for driving the marketplace leadership, marketing and business results of IBM zEnterprise. The zEnterprise continues the mainframe tradition of providing the most trusted and resilient platform for large businesses, supporting Cloud and Hybrid computing implementations, worldclass analytics, and unmatched security and availability. The System z division is responsible for the development and advancement of new technologies, hardware and software and innovative capabilities for data-centric, cloud-enabled workloads in the new era of IT.
Previously, Mr. Newman served as Vice President, Marketing and Communications responsible for the North America Systems and Technology business delivering 5 consecutive years of Server market leadership according to IDC. He was the Worldwide Marketing Director for SOA and IBM WebSphere where he worked on launching IBM's SOA initiatives and as the WW Director of Sales and Marketing for System z Software. Deon joined IBM in 1991 in Melbourne, Australia, and during his IBM career, has held a number of sales and marketing leadership positions across Asia, Europe, the U.S. as well as in a worldwide capacity.

Don is co-head of the Technology Division. He chairs the Technology Division Operating Committee and serves on the Firmwide Technology Risk Committee and the Technology Division Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Investment Banking Division.s Internet Investment Committee and Clean Technology and Renewables Group Investment Committee.
Don joined Goldman Sachs in 1988 as an associate in the Technology Department within Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities in New York. He transitioned to a number of roles within Technology, relocating to London in 1991, Frankfurt in 1993 and Tokyo in 1996. Don was the chief information officer for Goldman Sachs in Asia from 2001 to 2006. Prior to assuming his current role, he was global chief operating officer of the Technology Division. He was named managing director in 2000 and partner in 2006.
Don earned a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from Marist College in 1988.

Commissioner Jim Onalfo reported to the NYPD Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, with a command of 2000 IT & Communications specialists. In 2003 he developed a Strategic Systems Plan to move NYPD into the 21st century. In 2006, NYPD received six awards for the Real Time Crime Center, including the Top Government Global award. NYPD has overhauled the IT environment in the last 8 years, investing over $1 billion. Jim implemented the Real Time Crime Center, the Detective case management system where 1million cases are managed in a modern online computer system, the PETS system which manages all evidence inventory, among many new systems for the NYPD. He has overhauled all the NYPD systems and infrastructures. The NYPD is another major turnaround in Jim's accomplishments. Jim was one of 5 top CIO's in the Phillip Morris Corporation, running International Kraft.
Before NYPD, Jim was CIO at Kraft Foods Int'l. He lived and worked in four countries, USA, Brazil, Australia, South Korea and directed Information Technology in over 40 countries. Kraft is a $ 50 billion company. Jim directed 40 CIO's across International. Jim's role was to ensure all CIO's supported their businesses properly. Jim reported directly to the Kraft International CEO. After Kraft, he was VP and CIO reporting to the Chairman of Stanley Works and overhauled all major IT programs. Jim was required to provide quarterly updates to the Stanley Board of Directors.
Jim has over 20 years of global experience and managed over 100 business integrations. He is married to Linda and has two married sons. He also has a Soccer field in Ridgefield, Ct. named "Onalfo Field". He is a Captain in the US Army, retired.
